The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), the global membership organisation for procurement and supply chain management professionals, has announced a three-year strategic partnership with Brazil-based PG Consulting.

Driving procurement and supply professionalisation in Latin America

This collaboration has been created to build, enhance, and transform procurement and supply knowledge, capability, and expertise across three core Latin American markets: Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.

For the first 12 months of this partnership, PG Consulting and CIPS will focus on delivering structured people development programmes which will provide clear pathways to professionalisation for both individuals and corporate teams. By combining PG Consulting's deep regional footprint with CIPS Global Standard and expertise, the collaboration aims to provide accessible, high-impact learning.

Ben Farrell, CEO at CIPS says, "Our shared ambition is to work together to create deep industry-wide expertise, upheld by CIPS Global Standard, the competency framework for the profession. This allows us to offer a structured framework and pathways to professionalisation. Our partnership arrives at a critical time for global trade. Unprecedented market pressures mean that procurement professionals are increasingly being placed at the absolute centre of strategic, corporate decision-making, the timing is perfect."

Establishing a presence in Brazil, Mexico and Colombia

"We are incredibly excited to officially launch our presence in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. This partnership represents a major step forward in our mission to establish CIPS as a trusted brand and leading procurement and supply chain voice across Latin America.

By tailoring our world-class learning content specifically for Spanish and Portuguese audiences, we aim to drive impactful collaborations with local corporations and associations for organisational membership and training. We will also be welcoming individual professionals into our career pathways. Ultimately, this initiative is about building long-term local capacity, improving capability though CIPS training and certification, and fostering a vibrant, self-sustaining procurement and supply community in the region."
